When Mercedes-Benz introduced a facelifted version for the C-Class Coupe (W205) in 2018, the AMG couldn’t be left behind, and apart from the usual visual updates, it also sported new technological advancements.

The C-Class Coupe was already on top of its game on the market. Still, the carmaker tried to keep the momentum and introduced a facelifted version for it. Obviously, the performance-oriented brand Mercedes-AMG benefited from that and upgraded the C 63 and the C 63 S versions as well.

One of the most important updates for the car’s front fascia was the introduction of the LED headlights, with an option for LED High-Performance and Multibeam LEDs. Also, there was a new design for the grille, which sported the Panamericana design with vertical slats instead of the 2016 version that was adorned by a double horizontal slat. Last but not least, the apron featured a redesigned fin in the side scoops. At the back, the exhausts’ trims were finished in high-gloss chrome.

Inside, Mercedes-AMG extensively used the ARTICO, man-made leather mixed with microfiber for the upholstery. It matched it with piano-black and aluminum trims. Also, there was a new design for the steering wheel, which now sported touchpads instead of previously used buttons to control the infotainment unit and the onboard computer. Apart from the standard sports seats, Mercedes-AMG also offered a set of Performance Seats as an option, with adjustable side bolsters. In addition, the driver received a new 12.3″ display for the instrument panel, complemented by the 10.25″ infotainment display mounted atop the center stack.

Under the hood, there was the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, but it was now paired with the newly-developed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G (nine-speed automatic) transmission. The same engine, but with more power, was installed in the C 63 S version as well.
