    The Volkswagen cross up! It is the mini vehicle that wants to tackle some roads through the woods. Or some other unpaved roads. The base is the Volkswagen up!, with some spacers and an increase in ground clearance by 15 mm (0.6″). From the inside though, there is no difference compared to the smallest VW on the market, the UP!

    Outside, there is a different story. The cross up! Features typical off-road details such as front and rear silver aprons. On the sides, there are redesigned side skirts and wheel-arch flares. On the front grille, there is a traverse silver plastic element, which incorporates the fog lights. On top of the vehicle, there are chromed roof-rails, fitted as standard. Last, but not least, the side mirrors are finished with silver plastic covers.

    Inside the vehicle, there is the same up! There are some different interior features compared to its no-lifted up!: an asymmetrically split, folding rear seat with headrests, a variable cargo floor, a rev counter, a multifunction display, and the ESC electronic stability program. Despite a bigger sticker price, the cross up! didn’t come with AC or a sat-nav system. Those are available at some extra money.

    Under the hood, there is only one engine option, the 1.0-liter gasoline engine that offers 75 hp mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
