Hyundai’s new mini car was revealed in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, available in 3 or a 5-door version.

The I20 had a nice exterior look, with short lines on the side and sweeping headlights with LED feature – more of a premium look to us.

While the interior had everything well layed out, it was not as stylish as the exterior. It looked a bit old fashioned, based on a simple traditional approach. Not really a downside if you ask me, as some people actually prefer simplicity and practicality.

Surprisingly, the I20 had a refrigerated glove compartment, making it easy to keep a juice bottle cold in the summer’s hot days. The cabin also had many storage compartments.

Not having a premium interior, Hyundai was able to keep the prices low, while still offering nice looks and good features even on the standard trim level. The basic I20 was equipped with an USB socket, AUX, electric windows and air conditioning, while the most equipped, the premium SE added alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning system, tinted electric windows, rear-parking camera and even a sunroof.

Compared to its rival, such as the Corsa, the I20 was bigger and more adequate for a family – the load area could handle a vacation in 3.

The passengers in the back had enough leg and headroom to enjoy a long trip.

Safety wise, the I20 was given a 5-star rating at the EURONCAP.

The downside of the I20 was probably the old engine, not as efficient as the engines mounted on its competitors.

The best part of having bought an I20 was the 5-year unlimited mileage warranty that was fully transferrable to the next owner.
