After all the premium car-makers from Europe introduced their station-wagon versions for their sportiest versions, Cadillac understood that it has to do something about that. And it made the CTS-V Wagon.

The station-wagon version of the CTS-V was introduced in 2010 as a 2011 model year. It was based on the Sigma II platform, but it was available with rear-wheel-drive only. Like its sedan sibling, it was fitted with a V8 engine carried-over from the Chevrolet Corvette.

The wedged-shaped exterior trend started with the CTS model in 2003 and it was kept for the second generation as well. Viewed from the front, it featured slim and tall headlights with a wide mesh-grille in the middle. To amplify the aggressive look, the CTS-V Wagon featured a lower apron with an additional silver mesh. A wide bulge on the hood differentiated the CTS-V versions from the rest of its siblings. The raked rear of the car amplified the sporty image of the car.

Inside, there was the same luxurious CTS as before, but the manual transmission was an unusual sight for a Cadillac. A trio of large gauges was placed in the instrument cluster. The hand-stitched leather on the dash, doors, and center console amplified the premium feeling of the vehicle. The slide-up infotainment screen was used for the rear camera. The sport-bucket seats in the front promised good lateral support while hard cornering. In the back, there was room for three on the bench. Due to the split 60:40 backseat, the trunk space could have been extended.

Under the hood, there was the same supercharged V8 engine from the Corvette. It powered the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual, while a 6-speed auto was on the options list.
