    With the world financial crisis gone, the automakers started to recover and launch new products, such as the 2010 Hyundai iX20.

    Based on the same platform as the small hatchback i20, the iX version was an MPV fit for families and an excellent city cruiser. In addition, it offered some amenities that were not offered before in this segment.

    The design maybe was not be the car’s strongest point. Its front fascia resembled the regular hatchback version due to the headlights. They sported curved lines and sharp corners. In addition, they featured incorporated LED daytime running lights at their lower side. From its profile, the four-window greenhouse was tall, thanks to the steep windshield and the vertical drop in the back for the tailgate.

    But the interior was the one that stole the customers’ wallets. It offered reasonable room for five adults and more than enough for four. Moreover, the rear split-folding bench was not only sliding back and forth but also reclining. Yet, the trunk was not that spacious.

    Under the hood, the iX20 came equipped with a few decent powertrains, both gasoline and oil burners. Power ranged between a sluggish 90 hp 1.4-liter turbo-diesel. At the same time, for those in a hurry, Hyundai offered a 1.6-liter powerplant that provided 125 PS (123 HP).
