Lexus had been planning the 2-door luxury coupe for some time and finally released it in 2014.

Based on the Lexus IS platform, the RC offered great refinement into a sporty appearance.

The Lexus RC had an aggressive front fascia with angular headlights, beautiful LED running lights, a sophisticated rear end and overall the sharpest lines in the industry.

Available with a rear-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive system, the RC was offered in a single trim level that offered lots of goodies.

Standard features included 18-inch alloys, selectable drive model, heated exterior mirrors, keyless go, automatic climate control, a rearview camera, heated seats available with the all-whee-drive model only, leatherette upholstery and interior wood and aluminum accents.

Bluetooth connectivity, voice control, a 10-speaker Audio system and the Lexus Inform Remote were also standard.

Other optional features were bundled into packages, such as The Premium, The Navigation and the F sport package.

Inside, Lexus installed a 7-inch full color screen. It was not a touchscreen and it could be controlled using the Lexus’ touchpad – however – the touchpad was pretty hard to use while driving.

Otherwise, the RC featured impeccable interior craftsmanship.

Safety wise, the RC was equipped with stand antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control, plenty of airbags and optional blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, cruise control, collision mitigation system and others.
