Along with the rest of the Cayenne range, Porsche upgraded the coupe version of its flagship SUV, and perhaps the most significant upgrade was performed on the S version.

After introducing the Cayenne Coupe model in 2019, the German automaker was overwhelmed by the number of customers who opted for that. So what started as a tryout became a success story. But fast forward four years, and the entire Cayenne range went through an upgrade, and the coupe version of it also boasted new features and improved drivetrains.

On the outside, the Cayenne Coupe received the same improved Matrix LED headlights as the rest of its siblings, with an option for HD Matrix LED ones. In addition, the front bumper was slightly redesigned, with a concealed radar for the AEBS and the adaptive cruise control system. Furthermore, there were new trims around the lower side scoops.

But Porsche also heavily upgraded the interior, and the 2023 Cayenne Coupe S featured a completely digital layout for the instrument panel. Even the analog tachometer was deleted. Atop the center stack, the carmaker added a 12.3″ touchscreen while a third, 10.9″ display with touch capabilities found its place in front of the side passenger. Another significant change was for the gear selector, which was moved from the center console onto the dashboard next to the steering wheel.

Surprisingly, while most automakers tried to decrease the engines’ displacements, the Cayenne S went the other way. Thus, Porsche replaced the formerly used twin-turbo V6 with a fresh twin-turbo V8. This resulted in higher torque and power compared to the model from 2019, leading to improved performance.
